Over recent months, a growing number of schools, municipalities, and other non-profits are looking for ways to add new revenue sources during down economic times and amongst waves of budget cuts.
Enter Thought Process Enterprises.
Our experience with online advertising dates back to 2007 when we assumed management of a day-to-day online news resource in Ellwood City that is fully funded by paid advertisements that appear on the site. This valuable experience in the industry was touched upon when Thought Process entered into a consulting partnership with its first Western Pennsylvania school district in 2012. The Quad-A district entered into a shared income arrangement and continues to be a pilot district, serving website advertisements as an alternative revenue source.
In 2013, Thought Process began soliciting and meeting with various other Western PA school districts, including presenting at various Intermediate Units to bring the opportunity for alternative revenue to the attention of multiple districts. The presentations have paid off as TPE has contracted with over twenty districts who will be joining forces along with the original pilot in comprising a regional advertising network, compelling TPE to create a new division, called EDGEclick Advertising.
The EDGEclick Network is proposed to be a group of Pennsylvania public school districts acting as publishers in an advertising “network” that will allow paying advertisers to serve their message across multiple district websites, giving the advertisers the geographic reach necessary for inclusion in general advertising budgets. For the districts, its a creative tool to help all participating schools, regardless of enrollment and size, reap the paid shared-income offered by this alternative revenue solution.
